About Unik
Unik System Design was founded in Vejle in 1985 and has since evolved from developing bespoke systems to delivering industry-specific solutions with a strong focus on the real estate sector. This specialisation forms the core of Unik’s business and its approach to software development.
Unik is best known for its property management system, Unik Bolig, which is among the most widely used PropTech solutions in the Danish market. The solution is complemented by the resident and board portal uHabi, while HabiCen represents the next generation of property management software and will gradually replace Unik Bolig over time.
With deep industry insight and many years of experience, Unik works to strengthen the digital day-to-day operations of property administrators through cohesive solutions that support and automate core processes. The vision is to bring data and workflows together in one shared system and enable flexibility through integrations with other PropTech solutions that are part of the professional property administrator’s daily work.

Strategic partnership with Main Capital Partners
Unik is majority owned by the Dutch private equity firm Main Capital Partners. Main acquired a stake in Unik in September 2023 with the ambition of supporting Unik’s ongoing development into a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, backed by an international buy-and-build strategy.
Main Capital Partners is a leading software investor active in the Benelux, DACH, Nordic and US regions. The firm employs approximately 60 professionals and has offices in The Hague, Stockholm, Düsseldorf and Antwerp, as well as an affiliated office in Boston. Main manages more than EUR 2.2 billion in assets and currently maintains an active portfolio of over 40 software groups. Together, these companies provide employment for approximately 10,000 people.
Unik in Sweden
LEB System AB - part of Unik
In 2025, Unik acquired the Swedish PropTech provider LEB System AB, which specialises in property management and facility management systems for both private and public sector clients.
The combination of Unik’s and LEB’s capabilities and insights enables a stronger development of HabiCen, which is intended over time to replace the well-established Danish property management system Unik Bolig and support expansion into the European market.
LEB System AB continues to operate under its existing name and current management in Sweden, while becoming part of Unik’s organisation.
