Danish IT provider for the real estate industry takes another step in the company’s growth strategy and acquires the Swedish LEB System AB.
With the acquisition of the Swedish LEB System AB (“LEB”), which specializes in property management and facility management systems for private and public customers, Unik System Design A/S (“Unik”) aims to further accelerate the development of its new Software-as-a-Service product, HabiCen. The acquisition is also Unik’s first since the private equity firm, Main Capital Partners, became the majority owner in September 2023.
In the fall, Unik focused solely on the property industry through the divestment of the legal division, and the acquisition of LEB marks the next step in the growth journey.
LEB serves, like Unik, a wide range of customers, and their primary focus is on the public sector such as Stockholm Municipality and Malmö Municipality as well as larger private property managers and associations. Both companies have built a strong brand and product offering in their respective markets in Sweden and Denmark, providing a good foundation for Unik’s further growth and position in the Nordics.
LEB’s offering of rental administration, financial management, facility operations, tenant services, and analytics software align well with Unik’s existing solutions for property managers. The combination of the two companies’ competencies and insights also enables a strengthened development of HabiCen, which in the long term will replace the well-known property management system in Denmark, Unik Bolig.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval.
